Description

The VASNER Citara M Black combines powerful infrared heating technology with a clean, contemporary design. Its slim metal front in deep black creates an elegant feature and makes the panel heater a stylish alternative to traditional white infrared heaters. This allows it to blend particularly well with modern interiors, darker colour schemes and sophisticated commercial spaces. With a housing depth of just 2.5 cm, the black infrared panel sits discreetly against the wall or ceiling and provides pleasant, direct infrared heat with an output of 300 to 1100 watts, depending on the model.

Inside the Citara M Black is VASNER's proven twin heating element technology. The heating filament extends right into the outer areas of the panel, helping to ensure particularly even heating across the entire surface. Long-wave infrared C radiation transfers heat directly to people, walls and objects in the room rather than primarily heating the surrounding air. High-quality insulation on the rear with an aluminium reflector also helps to reduce unnecessary heat loss towards the mounting surface.

The patented wall / ceiling bracket supplied with the heater allows the black metal infrared panel to be installed flexibly and with minimal space requirements in the desired position. Thanks to its IP44 protection rating, the heater can also be used in damp rooms such as bathrooms with either a plug connection or permanent electrical connection. An integrated overheating protection system provides additional safety. For demand-based, efficient room temperature control, the Citara M Black can be combined with external thermostat systems and suitable smart home solutions. VASNER provides a 10 year manufacturer's warranty for this high-quality metal infrared panel.

What is the difference between the Citara M and Citara M Plus infrared heaters?

The difference between the rectangular Citara M series and the rounded Citara M Plus series is purely visual. In terms of technology, heating effect and efficiency, the two series are identical. There is no difference in heating performance between the Citara M and Citara M Plus when comparing models with the same wattage.

The radiant efficiency of our infrared heating series significantly exceeds the required 40%.

Radiant efficiency depends on a number of influencing factors. These include the size of an infrared heater, the type of installation (wall/ceiling) and the test arrangement used by the respective testing institute. The percentage value alone is not meaningful without taking these influencing factors into account.
The radiant efficiency tested in accordance with DIN EN IEC 60675-3 at TU Dresden averages over 50% (wall mounting) and over 60% (ceiling mounting). The standard requirement (40%) is therefore significantly exceeded.

The radiant efficiency of VASNER infrared heaters was determined on behalf of VASNER by TU Dresden in accordance with the DIN EN IEC 60675-3 testing standard.

Efficient thermostat control:

The infrared heater is suitable for use as a primary heating system in accordance with the new German GEG 2024, Section 71d. The product is suitable as a heater for buildings and living spaces in accordance with the requirements of draft legislation 19/16716 Art. 1 Section 23 Paragraph 1 No. 3 GEG and Ecodesign Directive 2015/1188/EU in combination with an external control. “This product is only suitable for well-insulated spaces or occasional use. This product is not suitable as a primary heating system.” This statement is no longer applicable under the new GEG. As the distributor, we are obliged under the Ecodesign Directive to place each individual local space heater on the market with a control system. If you do not add a control system to your order, a standard version compliant with the directive is automatically included. In accordance with Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC and Regulation (EU) 2015/1188, electric local space heaters may only be installed, controlled and operated in conjunction with a digital thermostat control featuring “weekday control” and “open window detection” or “adaptive start control”.
