Description

The VASNER Citara M RX Black combines the elegant appearance of a black metal infrared heater with particularly convenient radio control. An integrated RX radio receiver is located directly on the rear of the heating panel, allowing the heater to be connected to the separately available RX radio thermostat transmitter. This eliminates the need for additional external thermostat receivers or plug-in thermostats. Once the heater has been installed, a short press of a button is all that is required to establish the radio connection between the heating panel and RX transmitter.

With its black RAL 9005 metal surface, the Citara M RX creates a modern accent within the room. At the same time, the heating panel remains extremely discreet thanks to its slim depth of just 2.5 cm and can be mounted in a space-saving position on either the wall or ceiling. Depending on the model, heat outputs from 300 to 1100 watts are available, making the black radio infrared heater suitable for a wide range of residential and indoor spaces.

Behind the metal front, VASNER's proven twin heating element technology ensures efficient and even heating. The heating filament is distributed across a large area and extends into the outer sections of the panel, ensuring particularly uniform surface heating. Long-wave infrared C radiation transfers heat directly to people, objects and surfaces within the room. High-quality rear insulation with an aluminium reflector simultaneously reduces heat loss towards the mounting surface.

The VASNER RX system offers particular flexibility when planning multiple heaters. Up to 100 compatible RX heating units can be connected to a single RX thermostat transmitter. Different VASNER RX heating series can also be combined freely within the system. This allows larger rooms or heating groups to be controlled conveniently using one common transmitter. For effective individual room control, one RX radio thermostat transmitter per room is recommended.

In addition to the integrated overheating protection, the digital tip-over protection with switch-off function provides additional safety. If the heater is tilted by more than 60°, the system automatically interrupts heating operation until the unit is returned to an upright position. This function is particularly relevant when using the heater as a mobile unit with suitable feet. Depending on the type of installation, the tip-over protection must be deactivated before operation.

Thanks to IP44 protection against splashing water from all directions, the Citara M RX Black can also be used in suitable damp rooms such as bathrooms with either a plug or permanent electrical connection. The combination of modern radio technology, slim construction and black metal design makes it a convenient heating solution for contemporary interiors.

What is the difference between the Citara M and Citara M RX infrared heaters?

The Citara M and Citara M RX feature a similar slim metal design and both use modern infrared heating technology. The main difference lies in the control system: the Citara M RX features an integrated radio receiver on the rear and can be connected directly to the separately available RX radio thermostat transmitter. This means that no additional external thermostat receiver is required. A button on the radio module makes it easy to establish the connection with the transmitter. The unit also features a heating indicator, radio connection indicator and mains switch. The radio connection can be deactivated if required, allowing the Citara M RX to be used in manual operating mode.

NEW: Digital tip-over protection / switch-off function

For additional safety, the Citara M RX Black is equipped with digital tip-over protection and a switch-off function. This feature is activated upon delivery and is particularly relevant when the heater is used as a mobile unit with suitable feet. If the heater is tilted by more than 60°, heating operation is automatically interrupted until the unit is returned to an upright position. Depending on the type of installation, the tip-over protection must be deactivated before operation.

VASNER Radiant Efficiency

The radiant efficiency of our infrared heating series significantly exceeds the required 40%.

Note from the IG-Infrarot association:
Radiant efficiency depends on a number of influencing factors. These include the size of an infrared heater, the type of installation (wall/ceiling) and the test arrangement used by the respective testing institute. The percentage value alone is not meaningful without taking these factors into account.
The radiant efficiency tested in accordance with DIN EN IEC 60675-3 at TU Dresden averages over 50% (wall mounting) and over 60% (ceiling mounting). The standard requirement (40%) is therefore significantly exceeded.

The radiant efficiency of VASNER infrared heaters was determined on behalf of VASNER by TU Dresden in accordance with the DIN EN IEC 60675-3 testing standard.

The infrared heater is suitable for use as a primary heating system in accordance with the new German GEG 2024, Section 71d. The product is suitable as a heater for buildings and living spaces in accordance with the requirements of draft legislation 19/16716 Art. 1 Section 23 Paragraph 1 No. 3 GEG and Ecodesign Directive 2015/1188/EU in combination with an external control. “This product is only suitable for well-insulated spaces or occasional use. This product is not suitable as a primary heating system.” This statement is no longer applicable under the new GEG. As the distributor, we are obliged under the Ecodesign Directive to place each individual local space heater on the market with a control system. If you do not add a control system to your order, a standard version compliant with the directive is automatically included. In accordance with Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC and Regulation (EU) 2015/1188, electric local space heaters may only be installed, controlled and operated in conjunction with a digital thermostat control featuring “weekday control” and “open window detection” or “adaptive start control”.
