The IP protection classes indicate how well electrical devices are protected against the ingress of foreign bodies (such as dust) and moisture. In the case of IP65 protection, the “6” means that the products are dust-tight and offer complete protection against even the smallest foreign bodies. The second part of the protection class, the “5”, indicates that the units are protected against water jets from any angle.
